Abstract

Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) is a severe and unrestrained inflammatory response with multiorgan involvement, which occurs with in a few weeks following the resolution of acuteSARS-CoV-2 infection. The complement system is a vital part of the innate immune system and plays a role in COVID-19 pathogenesis.
