    Abstract
THIS IS in response to the position taken by Drs Richard Long and Marcella Scalcini in their counterpoint published in this Journal that the regimen 2HRZE/6HE: 1) has not been studied in a randomised controlled trial, 2) is ‘non-curative’ in the presence of initial isoniazid-resistance, and 3) will lead to non-adherence and failure of the regimen if allowed to be self-administered by patients
