Abstract
Directly Observed Treatment - Short course (DOTS) has been declared as the global strategy for tuberculosis (TB) control by the World Health Organization (WHO) since 1991. This strategy has shown to reverse the TB epidemic in many countries. Principles of the DOTS strategy have had many contributions from research carried out in India
